Taproom News 24.03.17

Party central!

This Saturday sees Mondo's second party with the Heretic Brewing Co guys from California. They'll be brewing a collaboration beer on the day, with a full Heretic tap takeover at the bar (along with Mondo's beers). There will also be street food and music - here's the FB event page.

Sambrook's are also throwing a party on Saturday to celebrate the start of spring and the launch of their new session IPA (name TBC). Street food is provided courtesy of Prairie Fire and there's DJ's and live music too - tickets are just a fiver which also includes a free pint.

Down in Bermondsey...

BBNo are launching their new Gatomboya PB Coffee Porter, made in collaboration with Workshop Coffee. There will also be new batches of their Citra Saison and Session IPA (Citra & Summit).

Anspach & Hobday are also showcasing their new 'Miami Weiss' and last weeks newly released Belgian bitter will also be on the taps.

The Bottle Shop's latest tap takeover features the guys from Redchurch, showcasing their urban farmhouse project. If sour beers aren't your thing, they'll still have a few numbers from their brilliant core range.

Elsewhere in London...

It's the last weekend of the month which means that Hammerton will be opening their brewery doors on Friday & Saturday.

Over at Beavertown, alongside their core range you'll be able to try their collab with Danish giants Mikeller. They tend to go a bit leftfield with their collabs and their 'Mors Ruin' is no different -  a Gin-inspired Farmhouse Pale with pink peppercorns, lemon verbena, grapefruit peels, and juniper. Just for good measure it's then barrel-fermented in California Red Wine Barrels. Phew. Also on the taps will be their Normcore Baltic Porter (from the brewers series) and a welcome return for their Bramley Apple Saison 'Appleation'.

As always, there's some brilliant live music at Wildcard in Walthamstow. Their 'Weekend of the woman' (in support of Women's Trust & Women in prison) includes live music and DJ's from Friday through till Sunday. Here's the full line-up.

Down in Summerstown, By The Horns are hosting their monthly brewery tour - tickets are still available via this link.
