New Breweries!
Tottenham is the place to be this weekend, with not one, but two new taproom openings! If that wasn't enticing enough, with One Mile End also opening their doors on Saturday, the Tottenham Beer Trail is well and truly on!
New brewery wise, it’s launch time for BREWHEADZ in the Roseberry Industrial Park - a convenient stroll from Beavertown. They’ll be open 12.00 - 20.00 on Saturday with a BBQ courtesy of Victual Reality & Harajuku LDN. Beer wise, they’ll have their APA, Rye IPA & Porter available on keg and in bottles. The second new opening sees Enefeld (not a typo but a nod to the old English spelling of Enfield) open their brewery tap for the very first time on Saturday (12.00 - 19.00). You can expect to find their entire range on keg, including limited editions and also some of their beers on cask. Bottles will be available to takeaway. On the day there will also be meet the brewer sessions and brewery tours. Get yourself along Saturday - they’ll be open 12.00 - 19.00, with full details on their FB Event page.
We spoke to both breweries in the week and they plan to open permanently on Saturdays - this won’t be confirmed for a few weeks just yet, so watch this actual space for more news on that front.

The Tottenham Beer Trail

As mentioned, with One Mild End also opening on Saturday (11.00 - 18.00), the Tottenham Beer Trail is very much now a thing. Expect to find a variety of cask and keg beers from O.M.E, along with a bottle and growler station. They'll also be open on Sunday (12.00 - 18.00) along with neighbors Redemption (10.30 - 17.30).
Elswehere on the Saturday trail, Beavertown (14.00 - 20.00) will be showcasing the two latest beers from their ‘Beavertown Says’ series - Thundering Typhoons (Beligan style IPA) and Cinco de Cuatro (Mango, chill & lime Pale Ale). They'll also have their barrel aged version of Appleation on the taps - full list here. If that wasn't enough, you can either start or finish the beer trail at Affinity (12.00 - 17.00) and head over to their neighbors Five Miles, who will be having beers (courtesy of Affinity obvs) and a BBQ (via Decatur London) running from 14.00 - 20.00. North to South (or vice versa), the trail is just shy of an hours walk or a 15 min cycle. |

Elsewhere in London...
As per, down at The Bottle Shop, there's another immense tap takeover, this time by the mighty Cloudwater. The Manchester brewers have created four one off beers (in aid of Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen) which TBS have thankfully got their hands on. On Friday (15.00 - 21.30), they'll be pouring a Simcoe & Mosaic laden DIPA and a NW DIPA co-fermented with JW Lees. On Saturday (10.00 - 19.00) you can try their NE DIPA along with a DIPL. Their FB event page has more info about the beers and precisely when they'll be available. It's basically a DIPA fest from the best in the biz - Go Go Go!!!
In Herne Hill, Canopy have a few spaces left for their brewery tour and tasting on Sunday (14.00 - 15.30). Tickets cost £10 which include the tour itself, a brewer Q&A and a tasting of 6 of their beers. You'll also get a bottle of your choice to take home with you. Here in Walthamstow, it's Eurovision time at Pillars where they'll be showing all the action from 20.00.
And finally, for the early bird readers - check out Magic Spells who are soft launching their Leyton Taproom on Thursday night (18.00 - 22.00) with a DJ set from Landings and a chance to sample their core range. We'll be checking it out and finding out more about their plans for the taproom.
